PWS Herring Tagging
In 2017-2020 we hosted PWSSC scientists onboard our vessel, equipped with live wells and a mobile research lab we successfully helped their team in an effort to deploy audio tags into adult pacific herring!

Acoustic Array Maintenance
In 2016-2017 we hosted PWSSC scientists onboard the Serenity, we deployed and retrieved underwater acoustic array bouys in the entrances that help monitor tagged species as they migrate in and out of PWS. Part of this work was designing and fashioning a custom davit to hold a sonar based transmitter to upload data to and from these underwater bouys. Pictured here.
Alyeska SERVS
Annually since 2010, our vessels and crew have participated in the Alyeska SERVS (Ship Escort Response Vessel Systems) program. This program includes comprehensive training on oil spill response tactics both near shore, open water, and with shore based deployments. This training also includes 24 hour HAZWHOPER certification for all captains and crews.
